“a shimmering green
A drop of yellow
and the sun gifts us
a perfect sunset mellow”

Yoho National Park is where you will find the aptly named Emerald Lake. We got there a couple hours before sunset and spent that time trekking along its shores, watching the light play out on the mountains as the day drew to a close. After being duly chastised by my cousin for plucking this flower, I decided to get a little creative so that its death was not in vain.
